2026 Summer Intern Positions
We believe that the Summer Internship at Northside Community Church provides room for valuable church ministry experience and spiritual growth to develop.
This year we have been approved for up to four positions under the Government’s “Canada Summer Jobs” program. All 4 positions are for family ministry positions that will help plan and execute our children and youth ministry calendar for the summer of 2026.
All of our interns will be working together as a team to execute one unified calendar of events.
The proposed positions will run between May and the end of August for a minimum of 8 weeks at 35 hours per week at a wage of $18.50 per hour. Start dates and duration of each position will be finalized with individual candidates based on government funding received and the successful applicants' availability, gifting, interest and skills.
When can I apply:
Applications are being accepted now with interviews expected to begin as early as April 20 and be completed by the end of April.

Who is eligible:
Applicants must be between the age of 15 – 30, have a social insurance number, and be legally eligible to work in Canada at the beginning of the employment period.
Additional requirements and expectations are:
- A personal and vital relationship with Jesus Christ that is evidenced in one’s character and lifestyle.
- Preferably possesses a valid BC drivers license and has access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance
- Ability and willingness to work onsite
- Strong delegating skills to involve others from the church community
- Creativity to develop new ideas as to how to serve our congregation and larger community
- Commitment to participation in personal spiritual growth and discipleship activities
- Attendance at weekly staff meetings in order to coordinate with and provide encouragement to other staff
- Agreement with the Northside (EFCC) Statement of Faith
- Agreement with the EFCC Covenant of Personal and Professional Ethics
We will be looking for candidates specifically with existing skills and experience or a desire to grow their skills and experience in church ministry activities, including camps for children and youth. A desire to help lead or facilitate worship at our various summer events for children, youth, and beyond would also be considered an asset!
